Judith Alvarez
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
Therapy is never a “one size fits all” process. My goal is to make therapy a safe, respectful, and supportive space for you to grow, heal, and thrive despite circumstances and obstacles life throws your way. I believe that we all have the ability to develop and sharpen skills, learn new ways to take care of ourselves, and have the power to reach our maximum potential. My approach to providing therapy is relationship-based and holistic. This means I use an array of relevant and effective techniques uniquely tailored to each client.
My areas of interest and experience include supporting those struggling with systemic and judicial oppression, trauma, depression, anxiety, family stress, severe mental illness, addiction, and life transitions. I use techniques such as mindfulness, attachment theories and psychodynamic exploration. My goal is to help increase your resiliency, help you clear hurdles, and build on the strengths you already have to reach a better state of wellness. Your past experiences, whether they be successes or failures, do not define who you are, and I’m eager to help you become the best version of yourself. Whenever you are ready, let's take the first step together.
