Shushan Arakelyan
Hi, I'm Shushan Arakelyan, and I am an Associate Clinical Social Worker fluent in both English and Armenian. I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Massachusetts Global. My professional journey began with providing therapeutic services to elderly individuals, adults, and the unhoused population, where I developed a strong foundation in trauma-informed care.
I specialize in utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing to assist clients in processing past trauma and building effective coping mechanisms. As a compassionate and empathetic clinician, I am committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for all individuals.
Through ongoing learning and experience, I have come to understand that therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process. As such, I adopt a client-centered approach, tailoring therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of each individual. I strongly believe in collaborative work with clients as I empower them to navigate their journey of healing and personal growth.
