Associate Marriage and Family Therapist - AMFT
Hi, I’m Kris (she/her). I’m a queer Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #154111). I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University.
Before joining the mental health field, I spent over a decade working in corporate HR, helping individuals and teams navigate leadership, growth, and personal and professional transitions. That background shaped my belief that healing and transformation happen not just in isolation, but in relationship—with ourselves, our communities, and the stories we carry.
I specialize in working with adults navigating life transitions—whether it’s a career pivot, identity shift, grief process, or relationship change. As someone who has experienced my own major transitions, I understand how overwhelming and disorienting growth can feel. My goal is to offer a collaborative, grounding space where you can show up fully, and we move at a pace that honors your process.
I work from an integrative, relational approach, drawing from psychodynamic, narrative, somatic, Gestalt, and client-centered modalities. I also welcome clients who are curious about weaving in insight-oriented tools like tarot, astrology, or human design into our work together.
As a queer clinician, I am deeply affirming of LGBTQIA+ identities and offer a safe, nonjudgmental space for exploration and healing. I also support individuals and partners exploring kink, those in consensually and ethically non-monogamous (CNM/ENM), polyamorous relationships, and navigating alternative relationship structures. My practice is rooted in respect for your lived experience, autonomy, and authenticity.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy losing myself in a good book, discovering new music and podcasts, and passionately cheering for my favorite basketball teams.
