Abigail Olivares
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist - AMFT
Hi, I'm Abigail Olivares, and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist.
I support individuals, teens, couples, and families in exploring the deeper emotional landscapes that shape their relationships, identities, and inner worlds. My clinical approach is grounded in psychodynamic and attachment-based theories, informed by my ongoing training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic awareness, and trauma-informed care.
I help clients slow down, listen inward, and make sense of the patterns that keep them feeling stuck — whether it’s anxiety in relationships, difficulty setting boundaries, cycles of self-doubt, emotional overwhelm, or a feeling of being disconnected from themselves. I’m particularly passionate about helping clients explore unconscious material and early relational experiences in a way that feels safe, collaborative, and empowering.
Before beginning my work as an AMFT, I completed my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at USC and have gained experience across community mental health and private practice settings. I have a special interest in working with teens navigating identity and emotion regulation, and adults moving through life transitions.
My style in the therapy room is warm, attuned, and curious. I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are, honoring their pace, and creating space for both insight and change. My goal is to offer a grounded, compassionate therapeutic relationship that supports clients in understanding themselves more deeply and building lives that feel aligned, meaningful, and authentic.
I look forward to supporting you on your path toward balance, healing, and self-understanding.
